Job Title: Church Administrator; 6 hours/week; $22/hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Communications: process and answer emails; produce and send the weekly eNewsletter “This Week at UUCJ” (electronic only); produce and send the monthly newsletter “UUCJ Review” (electronic plus print to 10 members who request paper); update the website; manage the Zoom account (saving Sunday Service recordings, creating meetings, add link to recordings to This Week at UUCJ, etc.)
- Bookkeeping: prepare checks for the treasurer to sign and mail; prepare the weekly deposit; transfer donations made via Paypal to the checking account; enter all transactions into Quickbooks; prepare and mail (mid-year and) year-end statements of giving; prepare quarterly payroll reports and pay quarterly taxes due; prepare the annual Worker’s Comp audit. NOTE: The Board is willing to consider separating the bookkeeping duties from the rest of this job description.
- Board and Committees: provide assistance to the board and committees, such as maintaining records of the minutes from meetings, sending communications, maintaining member records, etc.
- Orders of Service: produce the weekly bulletin for the Sunday Services in coordination with the Sunday Services chair, speaker, service leader, and musician
- Miscellaneous: shop for supplies; make bank deposit; take mailings to post office, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office administration, preferably within a faith-based organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficient in using office software and technology, including databases and social media. We currently use primarily Google products, in addition to Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Access. Books are kept in QuickBooks desktop. The website is maintained on the Weebly platform. Facebook is used for social media.
